SPSS Freezing and Acting Erratic

I am running around 3000 regression models and saving coefficients. I have not detected any errors in the code that I have written, but I have not been able to get through the entire process once without SPSS freezing up on me--each time at a different point in the program. It seems to always freeze on a dataset activate command. Also, the program is somewhat erratic. At times it will run 100s of regressions in a minute and at other times it pauses at nearly every command—maybe completing 20 in a minute.

 

Is there some sort of resource management setting I can adjust?
