Comparing distribution of sample vs sub-sample

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out the appropriate test to use to statistically compare the distribution of a subsample from the sample. I am assuming that a two-sample Kolmogorov–Smirnov test would not be appropriate as the samples are related (not independent)? Any help would be really appreciated.
