textbook question - short

Zdaniuk, Bozena-3

Hello everyone, I know it is not SPSS related (apologies) but I wonder if someone could point me to a forum where I can ask people’s suggestions for a good Intro to Stats book (behavioral sciences – Educ and Psych Counselling undergrads) available in Canada? Thanks so much!

You can find that kind of good information, and more, when you look at the
websites that some of our posters list with their signatures - both forums and books.

The book by Aron & Aron (http://www.amazon.ca/Statistics-Psychology-Arthur-Aron-Ph-D/dp/0205258158/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1438521792&sr=1-2) is quite good for an introductory course, I think.  For an intermediate to advanced course, I like Dave Howell's book (http://www.amazon.ca/Statistical-Methods-Psychology-Professor-Howell/dp/1111835489/ref=dp_ob_image_bk).  Both are very expensive, though.
