thanks a million Jon Peck - seeking help in viewing output labels in an alphabetical order

thara vardhan-2
Hi Jon

Thank you so much. This is precisely is what I Need for presenting the
results of my survey data and it works perfectly!

I'm not sure about the original question, but if you are just trying to
have your Ctables categories in alphabetical order by label, just change
KEY=VALUE
to
KEY=LABEL
on the Categories subcommand.

HTH,
Jon Peck

Just for the benefit of all others who may have faced this problem  I am
posting my final syntax to generate Ctables output in an alphabetically
order.

* Custom Tables.
CTABLES
  /VLABELS VARIABLES=percentsatisfy lower upper POLREGX DISPLAY=DEFAULT
  /TABLE POLREGX BY percentsatisfy [MINIMUM] + lower [MINIMUM] + upper
  [MINIMUM]
  /CATEGORIES VARIABLES=POLREGX ORDER=A KEY=LABEL EMPTY=INCLUDE
  /TITLES
   TITLE= 'NSW July07TOJune 08 - RQ4E - Percentage of respondents
satisfied in'+
 ' general with the services provided by Police'
   CAPTION= 'Source: National Community Satisfaction with Policing
Services'+
 ' Survey June 2008'.

thanks
