two way Repeated measures

dimitrios
Dear All,

I would be grateful to you if you could help me with the following.

I am exploring the effect of pre-donation hypertension on the kidney fucntion and proteinuria of donors over time. I have markers of kidney function and proteinuria at time 0, year 1, year 3 and year 5.

I have 51 donors with HTN and 502 donors without HTN and I want to compare the markers of kidney function at time points 1,3 and 5. My problem is that we have significant loss of people during follow up with only 20 donors with HTN at 5 years and 200 without at 5 years.

1. Do I have to create a match control group?

2. I guess I need to use 2-way repeated measures ANOVA. However, given the small number and the losses during follow up, I need to use non-parametric. Is 2-way Friedman's test the indicated one? If yes, is it available on line?

3. Can I escape with Wilcoxon test and Chi-square or the multiple comparisons will increase type II error and therefore are considered unacceptable?

Thank you in advance,

Dimitris
