The extension
commands that are based on R on Developer Central (www.spss.com/devcentral) all generate
R code from dialogs, but they do it through extension commands so the syntax
you see in the dialog box looks like standard SPSS syntax. If you look at
the downloads for R Regression diagnostics, Mosaic and Association Plots, or
Rboxplot, you will see dialog code generating R programs directly. Regular
SPSS commands would simply be added to the syntax generation. The
Rboxplot download, in particular, includes an article explaining the
step-by-step process of doing this.

Subject: [SPSSX-L] v17 Custom
Dialog Builder with R Syntax
Hi
–
I
am curious is anyone has examples of using the Custom Dialog Builder where the
syntax is based on a combination of SPSS and R code. It seems like a very
straightforward exercise, but I can’t find any examples to learn
from. Any thoughts? Thanks.
