I here ya - just today - Im running a job in 15 (bigger/better/faster
machine) and its runs
about in 3 times the time the same thing runs on my older machine with v14 -
moreover -
scripts that run (sometimes) on the older machine crash the new version
entirely
The thing is - you dont ever get an answer as to what the issues are or if
they EVER are
going to be resolved
one caveat - there is one or two people (maybe more) at SPSS who are helpful
most of the time -
they are on this list and are great - thanks to them!
I have other issues raised with support and its been weeks - no resolution
I develop scripts that work perfectly as designed on smaller test files -
try to run then on
something signifcant and eventually they crash the machine ... this shouldnt
be rocket science
at this point
my rant for the day
