Contrast for repeated-measures ANOVA

AlessandroMacario
Hi,
I wanted to carry out some planned contrast for repeated-measures design using the option box(and not the syntax editor). I wanted to conduct standard contrasts choosing "simple contrast" in the dialog box. The different variables had been entered correctly in the main dialog box according to the contrasts I wanted to do. However when I ran the analysis, the output returned that message:
"The WSFACTOR specification is invalid or incomplete. The syntax of WSFACTOR subcommand is /WSFACTOR = name levels <contrast-spec> ...
Execution of this command stops."
Help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Perhaps if you were to PASTE the syntax and post it we would be in a position to help.

If anyone ever comes back here with the same problem: I solved it for me
today by (after many other ideas that failed) removing a space from one of
my within-subjects factor names. It was "t2 valence" but only worked when
namend "t2valence". Easy in principle, but rather hard to catch on.
