Is it just Crosstabs? If only Crosstabs, does it happen with all requests or only specific tables. Have you reported this problem to IBM? Raheshms, If it works using ADMIN but does NOT work with USER then you have an issue with permissions, which, in turn, may be due to the Installation. At install time, some installers will ask whether the install is for ALL users or You only ( you being the one doing the install) Typically if you wish to enable a program to be used by ALL users,
a program must installed by ADMIN since some information must be written into profiles of ALL users, hence requiring ADMIN permissions. Unfortunately I have not installed SPSS recently enough to recall whether this choice is offered.
You may be able to choose to run an .EXE file as administrator from the right-click menu. ... Mark Miller

I seem to be having the same problem as Rajesh, below. However, I am running SPSS 19.0.0.2. I have been running Crosstabs in this installation for a long time with no problems whatsoever. Sometime in the past few days, however, I started getting this error every time I try to run a Crosstabs: "Unrecoverable application error in statistics processor" SPSS processor then becomes unavailable, and if I try to run anything else I get the note: "Attempt to connect to remote server failed." Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, found any solutions? Thanks, Justin. |
