I'm not completely sure what you're asking for, but I'll jump in and try to get the ball rolling.

For starters, you could make a histogram for the quantitative variable with the qualitative variable as a panel variable.  E.g., http://www.unige.ch/ses/sococ/cl/spss/graph/panelplots.html.

To get descriptive stats, you could use MEANS quantvar BY qualvar /STATISTICS={list of stats you want}; or you could split the file by the qualitative variable and use the DESCRIPTIVES command.

EDIT AFTER POSTING:  You could also use the EXAMINE procedure to get descriptive stats & plots for the quantitative variable at each level of the qualitative variable.

HTH.

Please see point 6 of this post:

And I am also wondering whether you followed up on your previous thread from last week or so:

Perhaps while you are at it do a brief review of elementary statistical concepts.

Your question is almost identical to what's being covered here: http://www.spss-tutorials.com/data-analysis/#associations-between-variables.

These tutorials have downloadable data files for following along and walk through the most likely tables and charts for each situation. Includes examples for styling charts with SPSS Chart Templates which I feel is pretty essential but rarely discussed elsewhere.

HTH,
