I cannot find the syntax to set the whole program to a particular
numeric format. I also want to be able to change the format for numbers
in the middle of a program for a particular set of calculations.
Creating NUMERIC (F2.2), for example, at the beginning of the program is
not desirable because of the large number of variables involved.
