How can I get a smart viewer 15-19

Salbod
I just got a .spo file dated 4-30-09. I went online and googled smart viewers--Not a good move. I ended up downloading nasty stuff. Does anyone know a safe site where I can get a smart viewer?

TIA

Thanks, Max. A trial version would only give me the ability to open .spv files not .spo files. --Steve

<Thumb up> Thank you, Max. It took longer than I expected. I had to find a 32 bit machine (I run a 64 window 7 platform). Then I ran into system issues that I was able to solve (bless google). Best--Steve

The 32-bit software should run fine on a 64-bit Win7 machine.

Hi Jon,

It is not an easy install. I gave up trying to install it on my Window 7 machine. I found a laptop running XP and got it up and running. Printed  and scanned the output, and prayed that I’d never have to go through that again; You know it going to happen again J  --Steve

Re: How can I get a smart viewer 15-19

Albert-Jan Roskam
Have you tried installing it using compatibility mode? http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/cdd894f8-1ee2-43e5-952b-d04c25779a7f/how-to-install-a-software-application-using-compatibility-mode?forum=w7itproappcompat

Btw, SmartViewer aka Legacy viewer (unambigious name would have been: spo file viewer, because SmartReader is -confusingly- the name for the spv file viewer!) requires admin rights to function properly. Without admin rights, it won't display graphs (pivot tables are displayed correctly).

Regards,

Albert-Jan
