In order to understand what a set of syntax is doing it often helps to
"Read The Fine Manual". One shortcut to the fine manual material is to 1 -- paste the syntax into a syntax window by pasting it from a post, loading a file, or exiting the menus via <paste> 2 -- put your cursor on the command you want to understand and 3-- hit the f1 key. -- Art Kendall Social Research Consultants

It has been like this for a very very long time!
My new ver 21 however insists on opening up a page online! Q to the cognoscenti: Any way to have it open locally or is that just too optimistic!
Please reply to the list and not to my personal email.
Those desiring my consulting or training services please feel free to email me. --- "Nolite dare sanctum canibus neque mittatis margaritas vestras ante porcos ne forte conculcent eas pedibus suis." Cum es damnatorum possederunt porcos iens ut salire off sanguinum cliff in abyssum?" |

David is probably running into the problem that was discussed here:
http://spssx-discussion.1045642.n5.nabble.com/Version-19-syntax-help-only-online-td4985244.html Note Rick Oliver's post about it being slow to load the first time during a session.

Ak OK. I see that now. It seemed to take forever to load and I failed to look at the URL so I imagined it was bouncing to some slow site ;-(.
