Logistic regression

Charlotte-9
Dear all,

Having read various books and information on logistic regression, I feel a
little bit overwhelmed with knowledge.  Can anyone provide a very brief
overview of the main steps to carrying out a logistic regression and
getting the most appropriate results?  For instance, how do people
generally do this in practice in order to get the best outcome?  Any good
suggestions of references would be welcomed.

Thanks,

Lou

Decimal separator in scripts

Max Bell-2
Dear list,
I use a comma as Decimal separator (specified in menu, options,
currency). In a script I use the command val("3,2"). It is returned as
3. And val("3.2") is returned as 3,2 .

So my script language does not recognise comma as Decimal separator. Is
this a setting? Or how can I deal with this.

Thanks already,

Max
