Mixed Models

Hoover, Matthew
Hey everyone,

I would like to use a multi-level model similar to HLM in SPSS, but my
outcome variable is binary.  I know the "mixed models" procedure does a
similar thing to HLM, but I'm unsure if it is appropriate with a binary
dependent variable.

Any suggestions or ideas about other ways to model multi-level data with
SPSS would be very helpful.

Thank you,

Matt

Matt,

Mixed models is SPSS does HLM with continuous dependent variables, but not
(yet) with binary ones.  Perhaps you should look into a package like HLM6
which handles binary (and ordinal) dependent variables.
