Multi-Level Modeling - Total Cases

Jonathan Wood

I am engaged in multi-level modeling. I have students (16,000) who are clustered within colleges (college ID variable). The range of students per college is from 1 to 96. I want to limit cases used in my analysis to only include colleges with ‘20 students or more’ (possibly 25, still trying to figure that out).  Does anyone know how to do this?

Use AGGREGATE  breaking on college ID.  Specify the group size as the statistic and add the count back to the input dataset.  Then just use SELECT IF or FILTER to pick out the groups that meet your size criterion.
