Notepad++ User Defined Language File

Allan Joseph Medwick
Hi,

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but has anyone developed the user
defined language files necessary to highlight SPSS code properly in
Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm)?

Thanks,
Allan

You might consider using Emacs with the ESS mode add-on.  ESS supports
SPSS syntax, as well other statistical package syntax.

Sorry, I made a mistake concerning SPSS support in Emacs.  The ESS
add-on does not appear to support SPSS currently.  It does not seem that
ESS's authors intend to add this functionality since they prefer R,
especially since R now reads SPSS formats.

Do you know EditPlus? , Very easy to use and also has the Syntax
highlighting feature.
http://www.editplus.com/

Also a good choice.  (1-user license:US  $30)

I think this is what you're looking for;

https://github.com/Remix4Dev/npp-spss

It seems to work well for me, though it might be a bit out of date as it
hasn't been updated in 2 years.

If anyone decides to fork it, it would be nice to change the colours to
match the SPSS standard colouring...
