Not quite sure if this helps, but if you have the Data Editor in front, use
[ALT]PrintScreen to copy (an image is saved in memory I think): then go to
your Word document and press [CTRL]V to paste. Most of the screenshots in
my SPSS tutorials are done like this. The objects are usually fitted to the
page margins. You can then change the page orientation to landscape, but
you may need to resize the image.
To get a section of a screenshot, I use Snip to highlight the section I
want, [CTRL]C to copy, go to Word and then [CTRL]V to paste. In this case
you often have to drag the corners to resize the object. Snip over-rides
screenshots of the Data Editor menus being opened, which then disappear. My
solution is to copy the whole screenshot to Word, then use Snip to capture
the bits I need (menus with sub-menus highlit in yellow etc.).

Subject: Printing Data Editor
I beg everyone's pardon for the posting such an inane question. I simply
want to print the Data Editor screen as-is but in landscape. As I am in the
process of building this data set, I will need to print several times and
thus do not want to save as a PDF or export as Word or Excel, if I can keep
from doing so. Thank you.
