Dear all,
Apologies for starting a new thread, but I can't seem to respond to the thread I started yesterday (keep getting an error message). My original question asked about comparing uptake of breast and bowel screening in a common group of women. If I want to make the following basic comparison, which test does this require seeing as I am working with the same sample of women? 79.30% undertook breast screening 64.64% undertook bowel screening â¦.from a sample of 72566 women. I basically want to see if there is a significant difference between the two proportions. Could anyone give me some syntax for this? Sorry for the basic nature of the question (it's one of those things I know I should know!!) and thanks! Lou |
Look for McNemar's test.

McNemar test. -- Regards, Dr. Marta García-Granero,PhD mailto:[hidden email] Statistician --- "It is unwise to use a statistical procedure whose use one does not understand. SPSS syntax guide cannot supply this knowledge, and it is certainly no substitute for the basic understanding of statistics and statistical thinking that is essential for the wise choice of methods and the correct interpretation of their results".
