R plug in for SPSS and R 2.8

Hello,

I want to install the plug for R with SPSS 17.0 . During the installation process the program is looking for the program R on the computer. I have installed version 2.8 of R. But the plug in desires version 2.7.

However version 2..7 is not easy available anymore. What can I do now?

Hi Karin,

Previous releases are available (at least for Windows and Mac OS)! And it's not a problem to have more then one R version installed on your computer.

Go to R 2.8 download page and look at the section "Other builds" if your operating system is Windows or "Subdirectories" if it is Mac OS X.

You can download R 2.7 the same as R 2.8. It's just a little harder to find on CRAN. I'm assuming Windows for this.

Go to the CRAN site, cran.r-project.org

click R binaries (on the left)
