Ranking data

Caleb Ouma
Hi all,
I need to rank respondents participation in a survey am analysing. The question was;
Rank the following labour types as by degree of usage.
1 hired labour (Men) 2. hired labour (Women) 3.  salaried labour (Men) 4 family labour (Women) 5. family Labour (Men) 6. family Labour (Women) 7.family Labour (Women)

I need to rank the three most used types.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Re: Ranking data

Can you tell us why you appear to have three categories the same?

4. family labour (women)
6. family Labour (women)
7 family labour (women)

and do you not need X. salaried labour (women) or are there no cases of X.

You saw Muir's question. And while we're at it, even more important
if anything: How is your data organized? Do you have one record per
respondent, and some field that has one of those 7 choices, with
maybe N/A codes or such? Or one record per respondent, but several
fields with one of those codes?

-Onward, and good luck to you,
  Richard
