Hi Everyone, Is there a way of generating a regression
line on a scatter plot in SPSS? I’ve taken a look at the ‘help’
section and it only provides script for doing this. Thanks. Genevieve Odoom

Use the GRAPHICS scatter plot and then add a regression line Using their appalling new graphics package you cannot specify regression line directly in the initial dialogue box You have to create the scatter plot first, then double click in the created graph, chose the add elements menu and add a line How SPSS managed to employ people who created this bizarre interface I cannot imagine – especially since the earlier versions sensibly allowed one to specify the regression lines in the main dialogue box. Once you’ve gone through this wierd unfirendly nprocedure you can save a graphics template IBM/SPSS think that I am a moaner, and expecting the dialogue boxes to be sensible is VERY unreasonable Consequently, they are unlikely to change the undfirendly graphics interface AS to why after several zillion requests, the linear regression package can produce every graphics in the universe EXCEPT the regression line.... User interface for dialogue box users seems low on their priorities No doubt they will provide you with scripts Sigh.....................
