I am a grad student trying to understand SPSS, and I came across the repeated measure ANOVA and the one way ANOVA. But I can't seem to find the difference between them both and when is the time to use them. Can someone help me please! |

I suggest that you look at the Case Studies topics for each of these. The Case Studies are available from the Help>Topics menu. Or grab a statistics book to go deeper. On Wed, Jan 16, 2019 at 1:23 PM Ansam AlQudah <[hidden email]> wrote:

a one way BETWEEN GROUPS ANOVA is when there are 2 or more groups of cases
and you are interested in comparing/contrasting the groups. An example might be people who are given Drug1, Drug2, and Drugs3. Another example might be people who are (1) right-handed, (2) left-handed, or (3)ambidextrous. A one way WITHIN GROUPS ANOVA aka REPEATED MEASURES ANOVA is when there or 2 or more times or conditions when a single group of cases and you are interested in comparing/contrasting teh times or conditions. For example, the times might be when weight is measured (1)before treatment, (2) immediately after treatment, (3) 6 months later, and (4) a year later. An example of conditions, might be when the same people's behavior is observed when shown photos with different facial expressions. ----- Art Kendall Social Research Consultants -- Sent from: http://spssx-discussion.1045642.n5.nabble.com/ ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command.
