Anyone have exepreince running SPSS 17 under XP 64 bit?

My coworker tried, and couldn't get it to work at all. We talked to SPSS, they looked around for a while, and eventually told us that is not supported on XP 64. That was just one tech support guy though. I haven't heard it officially.

I did not have XP 64 bit. I did extensive work on Vista Ultimate 64-bit
with version 16, and a little bit of work under version 17. Under 16 I did have to have a command procedure to start SPSS. Under 17 I can just click the icon. It's officially not supported for SPSS Statistics 17 (please see http://support.spss.com/newSupport/Default.asp?refpage=ProductsExt/productComp.asp for supported platforms).
