Dear list,
I am interested in learning more about designing a statistical analysis plan. The data I am working with are already collected. What does a plan cover and look like? Is there a template or are there resources that I could be pointed at? -Jesse This communication is intended for the use of the recipient to which it is addressed, and may contain confidential, personal and privileged information. No recipes, Jesse. It depends on what you're looking for, and what your
bosses or clients or yourself expect to find out. Usually you go first through a phase of quality control, consistency checking, outlier detection and the like, then exploring the characteristics of your main variables (means, standard deviations, histograms, boxplots, etc.), but then it all depends on the purpose of your project. Hi Jesse
You can find a lot of information in the ICH - Guidelienes at: http://www.ich.org/cache/compo/276-254-1.html (Look under 'Guidelienes') A statistical analysis plan is a document that contains a more technical and detailed elaboration of the principal features of the analysis described in the protocol, and includes detailed procedures for executing the statistical analysis of the primary and secondary variables and other data. A statistical analysis should be desigend before the data is collected (which seems not to be the case for your). It contains a description of the statistical methods to be employed, including timing of any planned interim analysis(es) (see Giudelines ICH E3, ICH E6 and ICH E9). Good luck Christian P.S I could send you directly (as a Word attachment) a template if you are interested. -----Ursprungliche Nachricht----- Von: SPSSX(r) Discussion [mailto:[hidden email]]Im Auftrag von Jesse Jahrig Gesendet: Mittwoch, 23.
