Toolbar Button Problem

Sam Ballard
Dear All,

I'm trying to add a button linked to a script on my toolbar. The problem
I'm having is when I push the button I get this error:

C:\program files\spss\scripts\showMXERRS.sbs#1: <here>
(0) SubMain has not been defined.

I've previously added another button linked to a script (show totals in
bold) on the toolbar which works. Also, I've run the SHOW MXERRS in a
script file and it works fine.

I'm using SPSS version 15.0. Can anyone shed some light on this problem?

Thanks,
Sam Ballard, M.A.

This weird message comes up from time to time.

Sometimes, replacing
Sub main
by
Sub main()

solves the problem.

Cheers!

Hello SPSS listers. I have a doubt since the version 14 was launched. Do
SPSS decided to eliminate the menu on basic tables? I found that inside the
commands you can choose to use basic tables, but the corresponding menu have
disappeared in versions 14 and 15. Do anybody knows why?

Thanks.

This was happening to me earlier today (SPSS 14).  I hadn't heeded the
instructions at http://www.spsstools.net/SampleScripts.htm under
  ** Important Download Instructions ** .

As soon as I had the line breaks the way Windows wanted them the script ran
fine.  An easy way to check is to open the file in Notepad.

Does  your license key authorize Tables? If not, the menu item will not
appear on the menus.
