Urgent: spss 13 on vista

Dear all,
I know it sounds a bit old to you, but I've been looking around the
list and couldn't get much help.
I need urgently to install SPSS 13 on vista.
Installation doesn't even start I get a message that says 'failed to
install ISKernel files'.
Please help me in this..

As far as I can remember the first version that would work on Vista was 15 and that needed a hotfix to get it to work.

As far as I am given to understand, SPSS 13 will not run on Vista, and I am not aware of any SPSS workaround.  The only way to do this involves creating a VMWare image under XP and running that image in Vista.  This will work, but, you need VMWare Workstation, which will not be cheap unless your organization is licensed for this product.

You could try Microsoft Virtual PC as an alternative to VMWare

It is free

Heck you could even run SPSS PC+ on there if you were so minded to do
so.
