Hi,
I have a data set and I need to move the decimal two places to the left. I tried changing the format but can't get it to work. For example, 134500 needs to be 1345.00 57389 needs to be 573.89 I am not sure what format to use. Any help is appreciated. A format specified on the FORMAT command does not change the actual value
once a variable is read into SPSS. Divide your variables by 100 and then specify a format which will display the decimal values such as F8.2. -----Original Message----- From: SPSSX(r) Discussion [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Keval Khichadia Sent: Wednesday, May 21, 2008 10:51 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: decimal places Hi, I have a data set and I need to move the decimal two places to the left. Maybe I misunderstand, but couldn't you just divide your variable by 100?
