doing Heckman correction in SPSS

a gz
Hello, I'm trying to apply the Heckman correction (also known as inverse mills ratio) for missing data. All my research indicates I can move the data to STATA and SAS; however, I do not have easy access to these programs and lack sufficient knowledge in either program to convert data from SPSS to another program, do the correction, then convert back to SPSS with much confidence.

I've not found anything to indicate how to do this technique within SPSS, though I am thinking someone must have figured out a way to do so.  My expertise is solely in SPSS and excel.  Is there a syntax or other tool that might enable me to do this in SPSS?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Depending on your version of SPSS, and if you have the R plugin installed you can use there looks to be a package that has it there (sampleSelection)

Hi, while I don't have R, I do have a bit of familiarity with it and can access it at the university. I'll check that option out!
Thanks so much!
