This question is really to ibm-spss rather than to the list.
Does access to the help (not syntax reference, which is a pdf) and algorithm documentation require the computer be connected to the internet? I ask because on a disconnected computer, I was unable to access the algorithms documentation
(Help > algorithms). For what it’s worth, the default browser is firefox. Is this a problem with firefox? Thanks, Gene Maguin |
Hi Gene,
It shouldn't require that you be connected to the internet. Rick Oliver may have more details on possible causes of and solutions to the problem you're having -- though is there a particular message you're getting when you're unable to access? -- so I'll just note that if you want a local copy of the algorithms PDF for future reference, the Statistics 23 docs are all at: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27043946 I reached this page from the Stats 23 KnowledgeCenter: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSLVMB_23.0.0/spss/product_landing.dita Cheers, Alex ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. The help does not require an internet connection.
It is installed locally on your computer. Does Help>Topics work? If
so, you can access the algorithms help (and all the other help) that way.
