The cutoff points for deciles (or any other percentiles) would be produced
by the DESCRIPTIVE procedure, among others. You may obtain these values
through DESCRIPTIVE, then create a new variable grouping incomes in brackets
defined by those cutoff points.

The easiest way to do this is to use the Visual Binner, which will calculate these groups and calculate a new variable automatically.  It gives you several ways to define automatic bands.

Chart Builder

Eric Graig
As with every release, SPSS has managed to make it's chart builder harder to use for those of us who finally "mastered" the Chart Builder in the earlier release.  Can anyone suggest some online resources for working with it.  What I need to do is fairly simple but I don't have the hours it takes to figure out how to do it.

Thanks

Eric
