Hello,
This is really a minor issue, but I used to be able to start SPSS and open a given data file by double clicking the data file in Windows Explorer. Now when I double click on a data file SPSS starts, but the data file does not open. Is there an option I
can change to regain this functionality?
Thanks

Russ, No more
double clicking, just drag and drop them (syntax, data or viewer files) into a SPSS
working file window and they will open. Leo Van: SPSSX(r) Discussion

Thanks, George. the 17.0.1 patch did the trick.

This is the workaround for now, but the problem with opening files via double-clicking should be fixed in Release 17.0.2. David Nichols *************************************** However, I just installed the 17.0.1 patch from SPSS' website and this problem was fixed early. (I experienced the same problem as you before downloading the patch). I usually search this LISTSERV before posting a question. So, try the patch and let us know if it worked.
